The 8,000-ton cable-laying barge is a specialized offshore engineering vessel designed to support submarine cable installation for marine communications and energy transmission infrastructure. Engineered for deep-sea cable-laying operations, the vessel provides stable navigation performance and reliable cable deployment capabilities, meeting the requirements of offshore engineering projects in Vietnam and surrounding regions.

In this project, KAM serves as the EPC contractor for the vessel’s interior outfitting, as well as the EPC contractor for the electrical and intelligent systems. KAM provides integrated services including the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the vessel’s interior spaces, together with the overall planning and implementation of the electrical and automation systems.

Leveraging extensive experience in cross-border project execution, KAM ensures full alignment with international construction standards and the operational requirements of offshore engineering vessels. The project balances the durability and corrosion resistance of interior installations with the stability and efficiency of electrical and intelligent control systems, creating a safe, reliable, and comfortable working and living environment for crew members. This enables the cable-laying barge to effectively support overseas marine engineering and submarine cable installation operations.
