Star Navigator
The Star Navigator is a 75,338-gross-ton luxury cruise ship operated by Star Cruises. With a total length of approximately 268 meters, the vessel accommodates around 1,854 passengers and offers a wide range of onboard amenities, including Palace suite cabins, a water park, diverse dining venues, and spa facilities. Originally built in Germany in 1999, the ship has undergone several refurbishments to maintain its high standards of comfort and service.
From the early project initiation stage, KAM assembled a dedicated professional teamto conduct on-site inspections and technical studies in Japan and the Taiwan region, carrying out multiple rounds of technical discussions and solution evaluations. Detailed construction plans were developed, and various installation scenarios and emergency response strategies were simulated in advance to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
KAM was responsible for thecurtain wall glass replacement works in areas including the PLAM Counter. The project presented several major challenges, including high-altitude operations, a temporarily compressed construction schedule, and the absence of external anchoring points for installation. Through meticulous planning, strong team coordination, and professional technical execution, the KAM team successfully overcame these constraints and completed the installation within the required timeframe.
The project was delivered to a high standard, demonstrating KAM’s capability in complex marine engineering environments. The successful completion of the works received high recognition from the shipowner, who issued a formal letter of appreciation for KAM’s professionalism and dedication.
