KAM undertook theinterior fit-out projectfor the “Pearl of Taihu No. 1.” As the largest new-energy passenger vessel operating in Wuxi’s inland waters, the ship measures 39.8 meters in length and 9 meters in beam, with a passenger capacity of 210 persons. The vessel features three propulsion modes, including pure electric operation with a range of up to four hours, and operates with noise levels below 56 decibels. Following its trial operation in 2022, the vessel has become a new tourism highlight on Lake Taihu.

KAM was responsible for the vessel’s interior outfitting works, low-voltage intelligent systems, central kitchen systems, and ventilation systems. Through innovative design and the use of high-quality materials, the project creates comfortable, visually appealing, and distinctive passenger cabins and public spaces. Key features include large double-glazed panoramic curtain walls that offer expansive lake views, multimedia entertainment systems and wireless connectivity to enhance the passenger experience, and exterior lighting design that creates a distinctive nighttime landscape on Lake Taihu.

The completion of this project provides a new attraction for Taihu Lake tourism, contributing to the development of the region’s cultural and tourism industry.
